Anastasia Nikita won silver and became the vice world champion in wrestling among youth. Unfortunately, the ward of Tudor Kirlan lost in the final in the weight category up to 59 kg to an opponent from Japan.
Note that on the way to silver in Tallinn, she defeated Zhuomalaga (China), Anshu (India) and Katerina Zelenykh (Ukraine). In the final, Anastasia lost to the Japanese Saye Nanyo, whom by the way she won in the final of last year’s youth world championship. Congratulations to Anastasia with a silver medal.
Another award on the same competitive day the country brought Maria Leorda (weight up to 50 kilograms). First, she defeated the rival from Uzbekistan Yasmin Immaeva (10: 4), then lost to the Russian woman Daria Khvostova (0:10), but through consolation fights, she qualified for the bronze match, being stronger than the Finnish Taru Marquette Vainionpaeae (12: 8). In the fight for the medal, Leord defeated the Belarusian Daria Varakina (4: 2).
Before that, our country had only one award at these competitions. Freestyle wrestler Vasile Deacon (weight up to 70 kilograms) won silver.
