Anastasia Nikita won the silver medal at the Youth World Championships in Budapest. In the final of the weight category up to 59 kg, a native of the village of Teteresht, Straseni district, lost to the rival from Japan with a score of 0: 4.
On the way to the final, Anastasia Nikita defeated rivals from Serbia, Canada and Belarus.
This medal was the second for Moldavian athletes at competitions in Hungary.
Earlier, Maxim Sakultsan won bronze in the weight category up to 65 kg in competitions among freestyle wrestlers.
At the Youth World Championships in Budapest, Moldova is represented by 18 wrestlers.
